If you typically run a 175lr and 150
right, but you change to 200lr and 150rr
would you theoretically be able to run less
left rear bite and still get the same effect
coming out of a corner??
There was no racing in our neck of the woods
this weekend due to rain. . . So I was busy
thinking about weird setup stuff again.

hi alias, im not a pro at this but you got me thinking, and no matter what your spring rate is , you still want a certain amount of bite, your spring rate on that side will be just that, just my thought.

one way to think about it,
springs control your dynamic percentages.
i keep splaining it to people like this, you can put your front springs in the rear and your rear springs in the front, put the car on scales and get the right numbers, but the car isnt gonna handle. is it?
this is why i tell people scales are not magic, knowledge is magic.
if your car is loose in, and you are looking for changes to make to correct that, you are heading in the right direction with less cross/more lr rate. but i would stiffen the lf first.

forgot to mention, if it takes 200 lbs. to compress a spring one inch, you also have to remove 200 to bring it back up one inch. more spring equals less movement both ways.

thanks for the answers. you got me thinking
again--my ears are smokin--LOL. I was
running a 900 and 1000 across the front
and i have changed to 800 and 850--if softer
springs in front loosen a car up, BUT going
closer on the front split tightens a car--
which one would have more effect---or will
it be a wash? i hope that made some sense
any info. would be appreciated. i gotta
do something to make my junk motor outrun
the big dogs
