I have the shock in the car at an angle pointing towards the left front. Will this affect the chassis, if so how? I'm not talking about up and down I'm am talking the shock mounted to the rear end is further right in the car than the front of the shock where it attaches to the frame.

It will cause the shock shaft to sideload and increase friction, make the shock think it is stiffer, and could cause the shaf tot bend.
