Well, i think i'm going to make the transition from karts to modifieds real easily..
went to a test and tune today at a smaller track than what i'll be running on...
started off with:
50 percent cross, 53 left 58 rear
3 link car, springs on top of housing... 650 lf 750 rf 200 lr 175 rr, 40/40 lr, 40/10 rr, 76 pro's across the front, 17 deg downhill pullbar angle with a 700 pound spring... car felt good just tight in but could be the driver (more then likely the driver hehe) had 90 pounds of left rear... once i could get the car turned it was a rocket... i think it'll be perfect for the track i'll be actually racing it at.... would be like practicing at bristol then going to atlanta... so it should be good... everything worked good, no problems, went out and had a good time... if i could just get the darn carb right i think i coulda been a little better... with all the know how on this board and what i've learned the past 4 years from the best in iowa... i think i'll be right at home...

if its tight in with a new driver ur probably not driving it in hard enough. Rule of thumb is drive in till you see the good lords face then go another 75 feet the youll be close. Learned this from experience last year that last few feet makes all the difference in the world. PS I came into mods after 20+ years in karts.

i drove it as hard as i could.... problem is about right where the car started to turn in it would cut out and bla blal blalblblbla then whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... so i think with a smaller power valve like a 4.0, instead of a 6.5 i should be good
