What is a good starting spot for a Jbar in a 4bar/zlink car? Height, Angle, Drop side to side? Thanks

attatch it on the pinion even with the pinion gear....
then to put it on the frame set the rearend on jackstands so that the weight is on the rearend like its on the ground and keep the j bar level with the rearend

hi scott. we're new to this set-up too this year but our starting specs are 12 1/2 to 13 in from ground up on frame mount and 10 in from ground up on pinion. new to swing arm setup also so thats all i can tell you. you comming down to alexandria this spring???? catch you later, john

We plan on coming down a few times, when does it open? We are going to rent our home racetrack this weekend and play with some j-bar and short bar stuff, just wanna be safe and not poop the driveshaft out! Talk to you later

Hey Joel what kind of car #'s do they turn out at Alex for the Modifieds? looks like this may be our Saturday night track.

hi guys. scott, alex opens on the 24th, but starting time for the first couple weeks is 5:30 not 6. we did switch from nascar to wissota ('bout time!!!) let me know how the testing goes as we have our car set up to go j-bar or shorty bar. i think if the track dries out as bad as it usually does and is smooth the short bar will be the way to go. our j-bar is 21" and we designed the frame mount so our shorty is still 18" so it might not be as erratic as some are.
lil' blue, last year we started out with 24 to 28 mods each night but towards the end we were down to around 18 (our problem was non of the fast guys left, LOL) hope to see ya both there, john
