i have a falcon. i used a 3 speed saginaw till i could afford the falcon. they are much better than a powerglide. a falcon or bert or brinn cost alot up front but save money, they last a long time and will pep up your rear hp over stock.
my advice just get a cheap 3 speed and save your money for a falcon.

yes you will have travel issues. I run a powerglide and had the output shaft turned down to get enough travel. I would not waste money on a /th350. a powerglide will work with a cradle and the above mentioned change. you must make these changes if you want to run a 4 bar, and not break anything. The bert, brinn, falcons, are the way to go if you can afford it otherwise the glide or a 3 speed.

Dear Sir,

Please advise on cradle for powerglide.
Some tips on fabricating one would be very helpful. (although I have had more damage from UPS than from racing!)

I can help much with making one check with Burt Brown Racing Tranns, I think they are on the web. I purchased one from them I think I paid 60 bucks.
I have seen some that racers have made that were ok too. Basically they go from where the stock trans mount bolts and then up to the bellhousing bolt holes.
