I am building a 370 stroker all crowler part on bottom end. I have a set of the Pontiac 867 heads and matching intake. This is not for a east coast modified. All good parts right down to the Jessel roller rockers. Motor man is estimating true HP to be some where around 650 and very good torque. I will putting on dyno so I will have actual numbers. With all this said I am going to have a block prepared with splayed caps. Anyone have good or bad luck with different name brand caps. I have seen $65 dollars caps up to $250 caps. Any info would be helpful.

i have one block with pro-gram engineering caps and another with callies caps..both very good. if it's that nice of a motor i'd stay away from the 60$ china caps.

Definitely buy good caps (i.e. not cheap ones)!! You might not notice a difference looking at them yourself, but the guy doing the line boring will sure know the difference. ;-))
