I have a friend that runs nothing but Midwest engines. He has never had a problem with one.

you can get them pretty much anyway you want. they have them cheaper if you get the stock re ground crank and cam wise you just have oil restrictors in the back of the block on a solid thats the only difference i would look at ptm,jr motorsports or hard core race engines too all the top guys have left midwest in the past few years and gone to those 3 places.not sure who run the shop now

Thanks fella's Im not to limited on internals, more on heads, intake and carb. I'll check out the other three as well. Midwest does use mostly scat stuff but the catalog says to call for any combinations and I would assume this includes stock parts. Thanks again, Kevin

I would give PTM a call,Nothing against Midwest motorsports, they sell some great parts, but when I called PTM the customer service was excellent,I havnt ordered a short block yet,but they took all the time needed to answer any of my questions.

Im hoping to buy 2 short blocks from them this winter.

Who are the top guys??? Seems like everyone around here wants to make their car look like a race car so they run one of those shops stickers.
