While looking thru some web pages about different kinda of racing i stumbled on some engine builders for WoO Sprints. It stated everyone pretty much runs a 410, well i got to thinking, how did they come up with a 410?

Big bore chevy small block is 4.125, throw a 3.8 crank in it and you get a 406, 3.875 is 415. No idea how they get a 410 out of the mix, any know?

Also how do they get a 430 too?

I think they prob use custom ground cranks that keep them right at the 410 limit depending on bore size. You prob wont find many with std 3.75 or 3.875 etc strokes more likely something like 3.78 with 4.155 bore or 3.83 with 4.125 bore..etc to keep them right at the 410 max.

I'll have to go look at the rules for the WoO sprinters, they may have a cubic inch rule i didnt know about.
