Alright fellas,

the car mid 70's camaro (street stock)
my biggest question is heads.
lots of guys here are running 305 heads for higher compression but they have smaller valves than double humps. is the smaller chamber and valves better for power than ported doublehumps 202/160 on a 1/4 mile track providing that everything else is the same?????????

to get the compression I would run the 49cc dart heads.

I apologize, I forgot to mention that there are no compression restrictions so if they are using a flat top and I use a small dome (.100) wouldn't I be faster???

the boost in compression doesn't help if the motor can't breath let them keep choking the power off with those little valves those humps will smoke um

Boy the 305 head arguement has been thrown around several times, but I ran them in my camaro with a flat top motor on a .3 mile track (.688 gears) with approx. 488 lift. We had to pull 17lbs at 1000rpm, which mine did. Turned the motor 6800 all night long. The only thing I did in the gray area of the rules was blue print the inlet runners to my stock intake for about 1/2" deep. Had plenty of hp and torque and the car pulled from corner to corner and ran up front weekly.
