How much horsepower gain is there from a pressed piston pin verses a floating pin??

Floating pin will extend engine life. Not sure of any horsepower increase.

the only problems with the floater style is that you have to check the lock rings so they don't come out and the pin score the bore other than that... i agree with bigcityracer

and personal preference plays into the choice

drive hard or drive hard

floated rods will not create a noticeable increase in power, however, they will handle more horsepower longer than press fit rods.

Thanks for the input guys wasnt sure if there was a horse power gain or not I had a wrist pin back out on a pressesd rod what a mess that makes out of a new motor. I think the builder got it to hot and distored it when he put it together....

I wish now I'd of not been so cheap and purchased the floats. Heck a machine shop charges $8 bucks each to press them on anyway. You end up breaking even if you dont have a press.
