I was wondering if any one runs a cam designed for 2 barrels carbs (4412)?
I was wondering if most people are running to large of cams. I looking at building a super stock engine and we are limited to the 4412 carb.

thanks, mike

i run jr's #7 made a HUGE difference it tricks the motor into thinking it has a big carb cause it lets more air in

Thats what I thought too, and argued with the engine builder but they proved me wrong or I should say I proved myself wrong. I'm not arguing but it's what they recomended and it has worked very well so far.

I agree with JohnG, I wont run anyone elses cams after running Camcrafts. They can grind it to any specs and for any motor. Grind# 50--4238-9A5 SXTL. I had to run a 500cfm carb and pull 16" vaccum and it was bad fast, I ran a KP 4412 carb.

i run a chet herbert cam that is an awesome cam for 500 cfm i am stomping mudholes in 406's and 383's
and it pulles 16 inches of vacuum
custom grind is the only way to go for 2bbls your never going to find an off the shelf cam to fit what you want unless you give something up
oh yea btw my cam is a .532 lift
in my 406 i run a .567
