What will happen if you dont have enough vent for the crankcase?

The pressure and oil will find some place to get out one way or another. I had a motor that started getting some blow by and with the very open breathers on my valve covers it was spitting out a lot of oil. So for a quick fix at the track I wrapped my breathers with rags to stop the oil. Well with the combination of the extra pressure and too much restriction in the breathers it blew out my valve cover gaskets. So it will find a way out if you donít have it vented enough.

- When in doubt, hit the gas.

I am having a huge problem latly on my 355 as well making a huge mess out of the breathers. It just started, I am going to replace the breathers, but also I have added the splash gaurds and have welded gaurds over the holes inside the valve cover. It has openings on both ends to allow pressure out, hopefully will help keep the oil IN.
