go as high as you can just make sure you have the propper octaine fuel for the compression or you could run into problems

you could go 15:1 if you have the right gas.

the most common race gas people sell seems to be 110 octane and its usually good for 13.1 max. really it depends more on actual cylinder pressure, not mechanical compression.

My latemodel motor was 15:1 compression running 114 oct fuel.

Check VP fuels web site, there flier info shows that advertised octane is NOT motor octane. It is also dependant on the effency of the engine, we have run a 13:1 flattop piston motor on 93 octane.
