80s montecarlo, street stock. 350 rochester 2G, 1 7/8 manifolds, .410 lift cam.
Rules say "MAY use aftermarket air cleaner" which everyone does. No ram air or hood scoops etc allowed. I am thinking of using a stock air cleaner set up with the snorkel tube near one of the headlights (with a cutout in the aftermarket nose to allow cooler air in). Will a stock air cleaner set up flow enough air? I really think the hot humid air here is hurting the power. We do have the front 1/3rd of the open element blocked off too.

don't think it would be worth it that 410 cam is hurting you more then the hot air. personally i'd wrap my exaust manifolds instead to keep the under the hood temp down

sounds like your rules aren't going to let you use a hose from the nose to the air cleaner RAM AIR.I had a good set up on mine that they never found.
