Does anyone have any info on #260 heads off a 305? Are they as good as 601's?

you sure there is not a 1 after that 0 ??

you prolly have 601s, just clean them better & find the "1"

You are right. I looked real close and the 1 is stamped real deep in the back. You have to look REAL close to make it out. OK, then next question. If I run a 100 dome piston in a 350 will these 601's work? Or will their not be enough clarence? And will a stock rod hold up to this much compression? Thanx

Yes on the clearence. I run 601&416 heads. Both of those are 58cc heads I believe. I have ran .125 domes with stock rods and it has done pretty well. The cam I use is pretty big also and I have never had any problems there either.Just make sure you replace the stock rods bolts with some ARP's.
Lots of guys will tell you these heads are junk because they do not flow as well as others and that causes them to run out of poop around 5000rpm. Well I am here to tell you that I run mine up to 6200 to 6400 every weekend.I think if you were on a bigger track, like a 1/2 mile or so that you would want a better flowing head. 3/8ths and smaller tracks I think these heads work just fine.
