How would i go about changing the valve springs without taking the heads off the engine?

hook up your leak down tester to the cyl., put air to it, then change them. works good.

It is pretty simple. What I use is an old compression gauge hose, I took the gauge off & put a air hose fitting on it. Then you pull the rockers, screw the hose in & hook it up to your shop air. Watch your fingers around the belts & pullies, The motor will turn a little. Then you need a compressor. They are availible at most parts houses. It just fits over the stud & pushes the spring down. If you don't want to buy one you can look at one at the store & get the idea to make one yourself. They are simple.

Put the piston at top dead center and fill the cylinder with a piece of rope through the spark plug hole to hold the valves "up" (if you don't have air and a fitting).
