just put in new engine.bench ran it for couple of hours and every thing seemed fine.put it in ,and went racing.no large problems at the track,or so i thought.next couple of days i was going to retorqe the heads.pulled the covers and found all guide plates badley worn.i'm running a 410 cu. in.350.and 284 dur.450lift.106 sep.any ideas would help greatly,thanks

i think that 350 is advertised dur.

what heads are you running? some heads need certin guideplates. sounds like you may be putting side load against the pushrod wearing the guideplate?

luke i'm running 041heads.as some of the tracks i run at don't allow double humps.
