Alcky is used a a ratio of about 2:1 when compaired to gas. mechanical fuel pumps are mostly rated at free flow, Your pump is rated at pressure I believe, but the main thing is the volume of fuel needed.

The belt drive pump is also smoother flow, you dont have the pulses like you do with a mechanical pump. Every time there is a pulse there is a small, (very small at high rpm) delay before the next pulse of fuel which decreases volume. We run a KSE pump and even at 8# of pressure the pump bypasses way more fuel than the engine uses.
