Has anyone ever used one of these? What are some pros and cons?

I run one. I've never had a problem with it. I got mine from my sponsor he had an extra one so he gave it to me. The big reason people use them is cosst savings. If your changing oil after everyrace the cost of oil filters will quickly add up to more then a system one. However I'm running mine on a stock 350 that very rarely see's over 4200 RPM. If you'll do a search it seems that some people running higher RPM's have had problems. Just thought i'd give you both sides of the story from what I've seen and read.

We ran these filter on two engines, neither one lasted past the heat.AC or WIX ever since. They tell you when you buy it that you will see lower oil pressure, but that won't hurt anything.Guess they were wrong.

i have been using the same one for 3.5 years now on the same 358 short block. i've replaced the O rings a few times and change oil after every 3 races, about a 19 race season. engine turns up to 6500 rpm. i measure up, ring and bearing my motor each season. also put in a new melling 55a oil pump. oil pressure at cold idle 65-70, during race 60-65, after main, 25-30.
