i installed a reground crank in a 305
oil clearance was .020 on mains & rods
is this to much clearance
will 0.015 be to tight

Do you mean .002 ? If so that will be fine.

On a street car with 5w30 oil, .0015"-.002" is about max.

In a racer, .002"-.0025" is about perfect for 10w40 or 20w50 which is what most of us use. .0015" in a race motor will allow metal-metal contact.
