Numbers usually will be stamped on the side of the float bowl, but there are numerous 2G's out there that had tin tags attached to the front center float bowl screw. If the tag is gone the only way to ID it is by measurement both external and internal.
Whatever numbers you find, let us know and we'll help you decode them. It's really easy...

It's off a 1977 model vehicle, or rather, the body was cast in '77, but if that number you found (7047095) was cast in a little round circular area, then it's not the carb # but rather the actual part number of the body.
Almost ALL 2G carbs had the 1 11/16" (1.687") bore size in the baseplate, so that's nothing out of the ordinary.
It appears to be a 2G that lost its "tag" at some point.
