Im thinking real hard about buying a shortblock from Jr. How many others out there have used these engines and what do you think about them. Im going with the 406 classic short block with upgraded rods, they gave me a price of $1,800, thats with scat crank and rods with speed pro pistons.Circle track camshaft installed and degreed, balancer and flexplate included.Plus 200 for shipping. Does this sound reasonable? Also i plan on using the 50cc pro topline heads on this motor, is there any problems I should expect with these heads. This is a flat top motor. Thanks

When I bought the 50cc pt heads the didn't recomend using them on anything bigger than a 383.

Good guys to work with. I've used JR's machineshop for all my engine work, and I've always been happy with the results.
