Okay, im running a mechanical fuel pump, and a ball valve instead of a regulator, and i was wondering what is the max fuel preasure that want. The Carb is a 750 BG on a 355 SBC.

Also, is there a regulator that i can use with a mechanical pump that will drop fuel preasure at idle?

You want atleast 9psi at the end of the straights. we have a gearte carb that can handle up to 11psi any more than that and the fuel will just blow by the needle and seats

Gasoline? Get your fuel pressure gauge out and set 5-7 psi at idle. If you have a good mechanical pump you should be good to go.
