what class and engine rules do you run under i run a rochester 2brl because i have to

A bigger carb can make a more driveable car on drylick tracks. It will soften some of the midrange and torque coming out of the corners and be easier for the driver to control. A smaller carb will do the opposite make it more responsive and jumpy coming out of the corner which works good for tacky hooked up tracks.

I wouldnt necessarily say that carb is too big especially for alcohol, but if you think the other carb is better matched then id say go with it.
