Screw in are stronger and if you brake one you can replace it at the track in about 10 minutes, a pinned will require the head to come off and goto the shop.

Pinned may actually weaken the stud and stud boss because you are drilling material out of ea which decreases there cross section area at that point. This allows tension forces to either pull the boss apart or pull the stud apart right at the point it is pinned.

I would have them tapped and use screw in studs.
