what would be a good choice for rings i have a 1/16 setup with je pistons. there are many choices in regards to barrel/backcut/low tension. any recomedations out there. This is for a wetsump not gas ported

to give you a little more info the pistons are 4.045 1/16,1/16,3/16

You need either a Speed-Pro ring set R9401+045 or you can use the JE ring set J1008-4040-5. These are both low tension oil ring set's.

Do low tension rings work well on wetsump motors. I spoke with JE this afternoon and they recomended the standard tension rings J1000F8-40-40-5 because I was using this on a wetsup application...what do you think about this recomendation Steve

Yes they work just fine. We've used them for years in the wet sump engines. JE is simply covering their **** 's with that recommendation.
