i'm guessing, but it probably has to do with aerodynamics. maybe the angled scoop helps the car turn through the corners like the rudder on an aircraft...

maybe they put it on after they painted the car and bud and paint fumes had a part in it lol

people dont realize how much aerodynamics effects a late model. That nose is a piece of work and different mounting styles do effect how that frontend sticks.

We angle ours for aero (at least that's what I was told) & it helps keep the mud out of the filter when you have someone underneath ya.

I read an artical where Bloomquist said he had a "different" hood scoop to keep people looking there and away from the rear suspension. Although Budweiser can be blamed on some of my "not so successful" ventures. Our hood scoop is crooked and it ain't got nothin' to do with aero. LOL!
