i was thinking of add some lucas trans.oil on my next oil change,any info appreciated good or bad.

I've had really good luck just running regular ATF and changing every 6-8 races.

Assuming that this is a direct drive the only time the trans should be building heat is when you're slipping the clutch packs to get moving.

If it's using a stock converter then I'd run a good full synthetic and a good oil cooler and not worry about the additives - and you shouldn't have to change the fluid but once or twice a season since it shouldn't get contaminated with friction material.

We run Synergen synthetic ATF. I change it at the end of each season weather it needs it or not. Funny though - When I pour it in it's a pretty red color but it's pretty dark when I dump it. Hey - just trying to be funny because that is about what I do but we only make about 12 outings a year. It's good trans oil. Rebuilds are nothing more than clutch packs and band inspection.
