Will the 2.08 valve fit in a .30 over 350 block? Not someone putting them in but if they came with a 2.08?

As far as I know a 2.02 was the biggest small block intake valve that came factory and it would take some serious port work for a production head to benefit from anything bigger I have seen a set of heavilly ported humps that had 2.055 intake valves but they were some high dollar heads as far as GM heads go.....Im sure somebody else will add on here.....Towman

What i ment to say was if i ordered dart heads with 2.08 valve would it fit in the 350 block? I would assume that the piston would need some work also??

Yes you can run them on a 350 I dont think you would have any trouble just check piston to valve clearance like you normally would....But as you probally know you can go to big...I dont know your combination or rpm your wanting to turn so thought Id throw that in there.....Towman

I agree with 13. Chances are you wont see any increase over a standard 2.02 valve because of the shrouding. Plus i dont know what size intake runners your heads have but I would guess 235cc or bigger. Unless you plan on turning that 350 hard and keeping it revved you are going to lose a bunch of midrange, unless you are burning alky. Then it might work, but still would have to keep it revved. If you are ordering new heads for a 350 I would stick with 200 maybe 215cc and 2.02 valves. If you were buildign a 406 then I'd go for the bigger heads and 2.05 or 2.08 valves.

Yes i will be running allky and yes i plan on turning 7500 to 8000 all the time. I just thought i heard one time that a 2.08 would fit but took some work...i dont want to order then if its going to take to much and without a gain..

I am sure you could make them fit but again I'm not sure they would be an advantage. Id stick with 2.02 vavles but with alky and those rpms you'll prob be alright with the larger runners but I wouldnt go over board.
