Ok... I'm going to build a bomber/cruiser motor. I plan on getting a used 350 complete engine from ebay/junkyard. Two bolt mains are fine.

What type of year should I be looking for? Junkyards like to ask from what year car am I looking... I know I should look for an 010 or 020 block, what years are those from? If I can't locate that, what other years are goood?

Not looking for the best 400 horsepower monster... just a reliable choice for me "stock stock stock" bomber.

Also, what is special about an "LT1" 350?

Thanks,
Sal

I see that those years are 1979 motors... I suspect that those would be harder to find... what about 350's out of mid 80's vehicles. Are they no good?
