Good morning to all,
Can moly grease be used for a break in lube or an I asking for trouble with that.I need to know before I fire my brand new motor.Or should I tear it back down and clean it up and use a regular break in lube.
Thanks

moly is fiberous and is not recomended for break in.best off to use some assembly lube.Arp bolts ,studs, and nut want you to use their moly lube to lube the threads before you torque them

Put a bottle of EOS from General Motors in the break in oil also. Some cam manufacturers recommend it. In addition to cam lube.

been useing moly lube on everthing for 7 years.

no problems ever, it was recommended by my machinest, and comes with half the cams you order.

I wouldnt call it moly grease though, maybe thats something different.
