Does the Holley HP Dorton 350 cfm carb come with the adjustable block or not? Or is it just available for the carb separately. I have read ads and articles in magazines that can be interpreted both ways. Who has bought one of these lately? You guys that run one, how much difference is there between it and a stock 7448? I have an IMCA stock car with an 11:1 355. Thanks!

As for what we've seen for the differences between it and an untouched stock carb, if memory serves, it was something like 4hp or so. Keep in mind, tho, that there are sometimes huge variations in the quality of the box stock untouched carbs. That is why blueprinting and custom tuning of carbs is important. It cuts down or eliminates the old "good core, bad core" scenario.
As for the metering blocks on the Dortons, early on in production they did not come with the 5-bleed HP series blocks. I haven't bought one recently, but it is my assumption they are coming with them now....

Hope that helps.
