I am pretty sure they prob make a 10w30 also so you could ask the parts guy about it or you could have him see if he could get the 15w40 that you had been running. Btwn the 5/30 and 10/40 id take the 10w40.

I ran Royal Purple's Racing 21 in an alky last year with good results. It's considered a 5w30. Notable was that the oil pressure would dip enough to flash the warning light during low speed yellow-flag laps. However, oil temps improved by ~30 degrees.
I plan on using Racing 41 this season.
