Where do i hook an oil temp. gauge if im using a stock oil pan? Also what is proper oil temp.? Thank you

If you have a stock pan you will either need to weld a bung in the side of it for a temp probe or you could possibly use the drain plug hole but risk having it ripped out by mud, dirt.etc.. Without an oil cooler your oil temps could run 50-60 degrees hotter than your water and you dont really want to see more than about 275 in the oil. Ideally with an oil cooler your oil will stay within 20 degeres or so of water which is better for the life of your oil.
