I have heard my entire life that knewer doesn't mean better. I am young and i like the knew stuff. has any one used an SB2 in there race care. I have an 2001 model 5.3 out of a chevy it has many items that people put into the old models that are stock. dry sump oiling, roller liftters, high ratio roller rockers, alum heads that out flow any old mod factory head, 6000+rpm fact redline,alum block. i have a carb intake in the mail for it does any one have any ideas about how to spark it i don't know how to wire the mutiple coil ignition with out using the computer, sentive electronics are not suited for the girt. does any know where aftermarket parts can be found. the only place i have found so far has been" Pace Performance Parts" open to all input thank you

I don't know of anyone around here using one. Most all of the rules in the area say 'iron' block and heads for stocks. I'd assume some LM guys are running them, but any of the 'lesser' classes are usually ruled out of using them. The newest thing we're allowed in my area is the 90's vortec heads.

I think there kind of switching to the ls1 as the new small block I know edlebrook has heads for them.You would problably have to run some kind of crank trigger with a box ,something else your rules might have a problem with.In the long run it would problably be cheaper to run the old tryed and true set up.
