elgin 1090 cam is awesome and cheap in 406,383 and 377 motors,unrestricted or 500 2 barrel. it will pull well up to 7200.it though made great power for me to 6400 regularly I have 4 of them sitting here, I thought they were so great I put them in 2 355s I built at once and pulled them.

that cam doesnt move in a 355 until above 6500.

its a 60 dollar cam everyone has it.

usually 7000-7200 occasiaonally 7400. really likes the higher rpms though. All internally balanced,steel crank and h beam rods, forged pistons, splayed 4 bolt block, with good valvetrain.

external balance, KBs flattops, 5.7 stock rods, stock crank, ELgin cam 6800 RPM

other one (R.I.P.)= internally balance, Arias LW pistons, 5.7 stock rods, stock crank, Crower cam 7200 RPM...best motor I ever had

WE TURN OUR 406 A CONSISTANT 6800 RPM'S.CALLIES CRANK,CROWER RODS,WISECO PISTONS,COMP VALVETRAIN,PRO TOPLINE HEADS.
PLUS ALOT OF BLOCK WORK,SPLAYED BILLET CAPS,EVERYTHING ALIGNED(CRANK,CAM,LIFTERS).ON STOCK 400 BLOCKS #7 CYLINDER TENDS TO ON THE THIN SIDE,WHEN SONIC TESTED A GOOD CYLINDER WALL THICKNESS IS.180.WE HARD FILL OUR BLOCKS WILL FILLER AND RUN A GOOD(SETRAB)OIL COOLER.WATER ALWAYS RUNNS AT 200 DEG WITH THE OIL AT 230 DEG..VERY STRONG TOP RUNNING ENGINE 475HP.500FT.LBS. WITH A 4 BBL ON GAS.
