I bought a billet inline fuel filter
from Summit.
Do I want to put the filter between the tank and pump,
or between the pump and carb?

I was thinking coming right off the tank would be good, my dad says between pump and carb to prevent fuel starvation.

I'm using a good pump@6-8 psi and 3/8 steel line.

Thanks!!

I have mine about 6" off the cell. When I had it between the pump and carb it caused long crank time after sitting a week.

You want it between the fuel cell and the pump so it filters the fuel before it goes thru the pump. I put mine on the over rail tube right above the rear axle, just take the tire off and it's easy to get to for cleaning.

I wouldnt put it above the RR tire I would move it ahead so that it is behind the door panel and mounted inside the rail. I know it is tougher to get to but you dont want a tire coming apart and ripping your filter off the frame and have fuel flying all over the place.

we run three....one on the cell vent, a good one between the cell and pump and a secondary (clear cheaper one) between the pump and carb. Aslong as you dont hurt fuel pressure, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
