First year behind the wheel of a modified.Funds this year are alittle tighter than normal,Just bought a new house, and was thinking of buying the scat steel crank that comes knife-edged.
Was looking at some good I beam rods,or H beam, what would be better?
Was also considering going with a dome piston, any suggestions on dome size.
Is going with a 6" the way to go?
Any suggestions on a cam?
I will be putting a set of 461 double hump heads on it,2.02 valves, springs good to a .600 lift cam.

I will be racing on mostly 3/8 dirt tracks, most of the time, dry slick during the A mains.Would like to keep rpm around 6800-7200.

Thanks for the advice

chapa, i've got a 360 ci. modified motor for sale. It has a $1100 scat crank, 6.125" eagle rods, SRP flattop pistons, roller cam, dart heads milled to 58cc with port work done and a bowtie high rise intake.

the motor was freshened last winter and we put the crank in brand new, along with new roller lifters and a new set of isky tool room valve springs. Had a valve job done on the heads also. The motor has about 15 races on it this year.

$3000

email me jhobbs5@cox.net or call 316-304-6163 for more info. I'm located in wichita, ks.
