I have a question for someone if they think they can answer it. It has to do with an np-205 transfer case. I have a 10 spline input shaft and i'm trying to find a different yoke that accepts the flat flange style front driveshaft. Anybody know if a piece like this even exists?? Sorry for the non racing related question but this is really bogling my mind. Thanks guys.

not sure I understand your ?

are you trying to get rid of the flat flange for some reason and use a different front driveshaft??

I had 2 203's one with flat flange and one with normal u jt, so if thats what your wondering both exist.

either way look for a 4 wheel drive place or a driveline place I bet they can help you.

No,this is a 205 gear drive transfer case and it has a regular yoke on it and i'm trying to find out if they make a flat style piece for the 10 spline input shaft.

Ahh, I see what you are saying. What you have is a 205 that came behind a GM manual trans(10 spline input). What you are wanting to do is convert it from a married mounting setup( T-case bolts to the back of the trans) to a divorced setup(T-case is mounted seperatley from the transmission with a short driveshaft between them). Im not sure how easy of a conversion that is going to be. Just about all of the GM trucks had the T-case mounted directly to the trans. Some dodges and international trucks used the divorced setup as did some 3/4 ton fords(back in the 70s so they might be hard to find). If you do find a T-case with a divoorced style input shaft you might be able to swich the input shaft and drill and tap holes for the bearing retainer. There might be alot more to getting the input to fit though im not sure.

I'm not wanting to switch to a divorced setup. My truck came factory with a 350 turbo. I want to keep it just how it is but use a later style flange yoke for bolting up my driveshaft.

Try looking for this from a place called ADVANCED ADAPTERS they say they can adapt anything to anything automotive...

Yeah, that transfer case probably had the fine spline front output shaft. I looked at that advanced adapters website but all i could find was toyota land cruiser and jeep stuff. I'm gonna do some calling around tomorrow.
