Stoped by a local shop and in the corner of his garage he had a rock polisher going. What exactly would you be polishing with it for racing? I didn't ask him what it was for but later on I thought hey, maybe he's using it for rods or something.

Any idea's? Anyone use these for automotive purposes?

Ya, the shop I worked at had a tumbler with steel shot in it too. It was in a big basket that you could fit a whole set of rods (or 2 if ya wanted to mix them), valves, pushrods, rocker arms, head bolts... anything. It was the greatest thing for cleaning nasty brackets and bolts and such. Noisy as **** , but cleaned them pretty well in like 10 minutes.

ok,

I broke down and asked him. He laughed at me, he said he did use it for small parts but currently his 13 daughter had rocks in it she wanted to turn into a anklete! He said I was welcome to use it for any jewelry I wanted to make! I told him I would pass on the jewelry machine!!

Dirtracer14, I think you win the closest to the pin contest on this one!
