I put the top half of an engine together for a buddy and when we started it up it was blowing a buch of condensation out of the valve cover. This is just a stock 305 in a truck. It has been sitting for a couple of years. Could it just be moisture in the oil or could it be somthing major? Thanks.

i take it that it's coming out of the breather? if so could just be moisture in the breather or baffle in the valve cover from setting to long

Or you could have some head bolt's seeping water .

Just a thought but I have seen this happen twice and on both occasions it was due to the intake manifold water passages seeping water. This area of the intake is usually in pretty bad shape (especially on the 305 aluminum intakes) and hard to seal. Double check the bolts for proper torque and maybe have to pull it and check it. In the cases I saw it went away with retourqing the bolts but plenty of sealent was used prior to installing the intake. Good luck.
