with that compression you'll want to run cam 2

Detonation could be part of the problem - how's the oil pressure at idle before it lets loose? Is the bearing getting hammered flat on the ones that are still together?
My guess - cheap rod bolts and heavy pistons - are they solid dome top pistons by any chance? Was the bottom end balanced? If so what was the bob-weight of the assembly?

oil pres.was 65lbs at idle before i went out to race it was not balanced i run 190,000lbs rod bolts the other rod just had a big twist in it kb flat tops pistons on one motor and trw on other whats denotation???
