thats a great setup same compression as a dome but get better fuel burn on a flatop. as for a 305 i wouldn't waist my money on a set of flat tops for one they just don't make the power that a 350 will

with a 50 cc head and stock dishtops your gonna be around 10-11:1
with a flat top and 76 cc heads puts you around the 9-1 range when you start getting into those small chamber heads your compression goes up

i'm not a motor guy so i can't tell you exactly how to figure comp i just read about those heads the other nite thats how i know lol.you just gotta figure most flat tops with 4 relife give you about a 10.2or 3 with a 64 cc head and 8.8-9 with a 76 so thats about 1 point per 12 cc so your dropping 14 so that would give you at least 11. why don't you want compression?

i'm in the same boat personaly i would take that 700 bucks your gonna spend on those heads and get a good bottom end and find a cheaper set of stock heads like some double humps. our claimer mod engine is a stock rod 383 11;1 and it turns 7000 only thing aftermarket is a scat crank and it's got about 30 nites on it and still going strong

are you limited to that cam thats pretty small i ran that cam last year crane 10007 right ? i'd find a set of double humps and do some research on a different cam i went from that to a 512 cam this year made a ton of difference
