Next year I will be running a East coast modified where the rules mandate a 358 flat top bottom end with Iron eagle or bowtie heads. You can run a roller cam with this combination. I have flat tappet motor but was thinking of putting together a roller. Anyone have experience with both to tell me if it is worth the money to go roller.

Thanks

2003 was my first season with a full boogie roller. as long as the rules allow, i'll never go back.

A roller cam of the same specs as a flat tappet can be worth 25ish HP. Depending on how far you're willing to go (lift wise), it can be even more.
