Does anyone have a list of "common" SBC head gaskets for the 350 and 400 blocks and their thicknesses (& cc's if you've got them!) Looking to plug some numbers in and see what it does to compression with the various gaskets.

Here's a few Felpros out of the Scoggin-Dickey catalog. I personally have used the 1043s on my motors. Every little bit counts!

1043 - Bore 4.080 - thick .039
1003 - Bore 4.166 - thick .041
1004 - Bore 4.190 - thick .041
1014 - Bore 4.200 - thick .039
1034 - Bore 4.200 - thick .041
1044 - Bore 4.200 - thick .051

Thanks! That's what I was looking for - wasn't there a steel shim gasket that is in the .02x range??

Yep, Felpro, from SD catalog.

1094 - Bore 4.100 thick .015

If you don't have the SD catalog, you should get one. Primarily a GM performance parts catalog, but has other stuff too. Go to www.sdpc2000.com and request a free catalog.
