Ive been running an Isky solid mech. for about 3 yrs. and figured it problably time to change it. When I started calling the tech lines to see if there might be somemore power to unlock they would hear the cam specs I'm running and ask why I'm running a 2 bbl. grind. It was Iskies recomendation.Everybody I called said to run more duration and lift.Whats in it now is 251/254 @.050 .560 on both . One recomendation was 259/269 @.050 .598/.620 lift Was told Ford motors need more lift.Heres my question am I missing some of my motor with this 2bbl cam.I'm runnig a 347 ford wiend steath intake windsor jr. heads some port work flat top with 12-1 comp.Max rpm around 7000 ,coming off the corners around 4500--5000.I was told they usually run 5 or less split on duration in 2bbl motors and around 10 deg split on 4bbl. motors .I've heard the same from all cam mfgs I've talked to.

i've always heard 10 degrees more on the exhaust was recommended because of the weak exhaust port on most fords. with the all the new better flowing heads available now days, i'm not sure if you need that much split anymore.......
