Hi, have a 350 sbc with stock valvesprings. Motor is not turning up rpms and was wandering if I backed off the spring nut if It would help. Set at 1/4 turn down past chatter now. Only one weekend left and can't get "z28" springs in time. Thanks, Mud

I'd advise that you locate some valve springs . The Z-28 spring is marginal at best for racing aplications . There are several companies making stock diameter racing springs that you should be able to get quickly . Call me or email me tomorrow and I can give you a Crower spring part number that will work for you . I'd give it to you now , but I can't remember the number right off . I am thinking it's a 68311 , but that might be the Vasco spring .
