I was wondering if a rev kit will increase the life of roller lifters by keeping them in contact with the cam, or are they just for high rpm applications? THX

The only thing a rev-kit does is keep the lifters from popping out of their bore in case of valve train failure.

No they will not increase roller lifter life . There is really little or no reason to use them anymore . Using a Crower or a Jessel roller lifter is about the best way to go as far as life span . We use Mobil 1 or Royal Purple in our engines , and have found that the roller lifter life has increased since using these two oil's .

Thanks for the info guys. The reason I asked was I had one fail and damage a lobe and lifter bore. Just wondering if I could have prevented it.
