they tried the same thing in imca stock cars by making a 350cfm spec carb well guess what still same guys running up front with the big motors only time i have seen spec stuff work in in imca late models but they are spec everything but short block spec heads,intake and carb cut cost alot but i don't see just an intake making a differece

the roller cam engine will still outperform the flat tappet engine every time if the components are matched correctly.

That was my thought too. I just couln't see how you would not benefit by going to a roller, regardless of what you do to the intake.
