Will a one peice seal oil pan bolt to a two peice engine. When i was putting my pan on it felt tighter than usual but it bolted up with no problem. The gasket seems smashed pretty good.Im wondering if they sent me the wrong pan. There is no part number on my receipt.Has anyone ran in to this?

A pan for a one piece seal would be larger at the rear than one for the two piece seal. Personally I've never tried to cross them over but I can't see where they interchange. I've noticed that some circle track pans are tough to bolt down with fresh gaskets, but long as your pan tightened down and you are sealed good on both ends against the rear main cap and timing cover you shouldn't have any problems. Make sure you've checked your oil pump pickup to oilpan clearance. It cost us an engine. 3/8 of an inch clearance is the general rule.
